How to Choose and Use Alabaster Sheets
Choose the pattern and light-diffusion grade first. A denser grade hides the LED source and gives a softer glow; a lighter grade lets more light through and shows the pattern more clearly. Always view a sample with your intended lighting before you order.
Plan the backlight before you plan the sheet. Leave enough depth behind the panel for the LEDs to spread light evenly, use a consistent colour temperature across the wall, and keep an access panel for maintenance. Uneven spacing is what causes visible bright spots.
Alabaster sheets are decorative, not structural. Fix them to a rigid frame or plywood backing, keep them away from direct heat, and clean with a soft, damp cloth.
