Types of wooden flooring
- Solid hardwood: Made from a single piece of wood, such as oak or walnut. It can be sanded and refinished several times.
- Engineered hardwood: A hardwood veneer on a plywood base. It is more stable than solid wood when humidity changes, which helps in Bangalore monsoon months.
- Laminate flooring: A printed wood-look surface on a board. It is not wood. It costs less than solid or engineered wood and is easy to maintain.
